Made in Edmonton. Cast by the crowd.

The Crowd Cast Studios is a movie studio where the audience is the cast.

Our story

What if anyone could star in a real movie?

The Crowd Cast Studios started in Edmonton with that one question. Movies have always been made by a small group of people for everybody else to watch. We wanted to flip it, so the people who love movies get to be in them.

So we built a studio that runs on the crowd. AI writes fresh, original scripts. Anyone, anywhere, can bid on a lead role or audition for a part, then film their scenes with the phone in their pocket. Computer graphics fill in the crowds and the sets, and the finished film premieres right here for everyone to watch.

And because the cast makes the movie, the cast shares in it. Every ticket, rental and pre-order pays a royalty to the people on screen. A better movie means more sales, so everyone makes more.

Anyone can star

No agent, no headshots, no Hollywood zip code. Bid on a role or audition, then film your part on your phone.

Everyone shares the upside

The cast shares 10% of every sale, split by role size. The better the movie does, the more everyone makes.

Safe for families

Kids' roles need a parent or guardian's consent, and family bundles let you star together.

Straight talk

Clear prices, clear fees, a plain-English refund policy, and a real inbox that answers.

How a crowd makes a movie

  1. 1AI writes an original script, from heists to dragon driving schools.
  2. 2The crowd bids on lead and supporting roles, and auditions for the rest.
  3. 3Cast members film their scenes at home. CGI fills in the crowd and the sets.
  4. 4The finished movie premieres in our Theater, and every ticket pays the cast.
